Sacrament of Confirmation 2024

This year in our Parish the Sacrament of Confirmation will be conferred by Bishop Richard Umbers at Saint Mel’s church, 7:00pm Friday 15th November 2024. The preparation will consist of four weekly lessons at St Mel’s parish hall, conducted by the parish priest.

Children in Year 6 and above who are baptised in the Roman Catholic Rite and have received their First Confession and First Holy Communion are now able to receive Confirmation. If any of your older children have not yet received Confirmation, then they too can be enrolled in our lessons.

If you would like your child or children to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this year, please fill in the attached Enrolment Form and add a copy of their baptism certificate and return by Wednesday 16 October to:

Father Joseph at the church before or after any Mass;

or bring them to the parish office/ presbytery mail-box, 7 Evaline St, Campsie.

Confirmation will be celebrated on Friday 15th November 2024 at 7:00pm. 

The four preparation lessons will be held in St Mel’s parish hall from 6:00 – 7:00pm on: 
Thursday evenings – October 24, October 31, November 7, November 14.
